Mike Ox...ChillTheKunt classes success as the ability to steam into women with his fists

It's only if you bought using car finance, Billy.

I'm trying to get a link but can't get hold of the bloke. Will post as soon as....

Where would you like me to start?

You'd best set the rules and define what you see as "success", then we can all steam ahead using your benchmark.

You do know you can get miles corrected and mr fix the scratch is only a couple of 100.

I buy 30k cars when they hit 4K .

Nice rides when they work.

There is no correct answer, only the best fit for you.

THe only reason this conversation has dragged on is because COYI dangled the bait of 'Anyone that buys a car on finance is a muggy cunt'.

Clearly untrue.

Is COYI Swiss Toni from The Fast Show?
More importantly, does the ‘six figure’ salary include the 2 digits behind the decimal point I wonder?
Not sure I’d class a pair of £10 earrings from Samuels as expensive jewellery, and a bottle of Thunderbird from the local Spar as fine wine TBH. Still, each to their own.
Fuck me, there’s some proper Walter Mitty’s on here.

Money being "Hard Earned" suggests somebody who is not very good at their job; they probably move on every few months to avoid being found out.

I for one would be pleased to hear more about the 'indulgences' you bestow on your lovers, COYI.

And I'm sure many blokes on here would find it instructive. You could give them some pointers.

Re: Has anyone bought a car on finance in the past ten years?
Exactly Side of Ham. I have far better things to spend my money on than a shiny new car every three years.

I find things like fine wine, luxury holidays, indulgences for my lovers (not hookers as MPI implied earlier) far more fulfilling ways to spend my hard earned money.

Re: Has anyone bought a car on finance in the past ten years?
The key thing is there is a choice and also many people who are not into cars and many who are.

Re: Has anyone bought a car on finance in the past ten years?
Why would anybody "flaunt wealth" on something that's guaranteed to make you less wealthy?

Sounds a bit like flaunting stupidity to me - very Sullivanesque.

Re: Has anyone bought a car on finance in the past ten years?
The most important aspect is cost of ownership and cost of change
But let's not get into that, the concept of depreciation has caused enough of a stir

Re: Has anyone bought a car on finance in the past ten years?
NS,

Because you still have to maintain, tax and insure something that every year loses it's value.

You still tax and insure cars on PCP... maintain?? TBH I think the only maintenance we had to do with our past two cars (we bought) was a cambelt and maybe new tyres...ie.. fuck all...

No finding £3k deposit and balloon payments at the end of the 3 year period.. no watching the mileage... and no £350 a month payments... I'm not looking to get a new car (that I don't own) every three years ... I'm not looking to sell my heavily discounted car ... so why the fuck would I worry about depreciation??

Re: Has anyone bought a car on finance in the past ten years?

Look at it like your Escort fees: You get use of one you wouldn't otherwise get to ride on and at the end of the 3 minutes they go and you don't have to maintain them.
